Here we go everyone, it’s time for Florida’s west coast USPTA professionals (Tampa Bay area) to start getting involved. Come on out and have some fun, compete, enjoy comfortable camaraderie, network, and be a part of the Florida USPTA division. Let us all come together and make this decade the best the west coast has ever experienced.

As we receive funding from Florida USPTA, you do need to be a CURRENT USPTA member to participate in this. Click here for membership details

FALL 2010 USPTA Tampa Bay Pro Doubles League with PRIZE MONEY
NOTE: These dates are tentative and will be finalized after Pro feedback


Starting Saturday, October 23rd at 1pm with a kick off round robin/sign up event on Saturday,October 2nd at 1pm.

USPTA Tampa Bay Pro Doubles League: Will be comprised of a #1 position MEN'S DOUBLES & #2 position MEN'S DOUBLES and #3 position MIXED DOUBLES.

What we’re looking for:
#1 USPTA Professionals who want to play on a team OR be a LEAGUE SUB (NOTE: Subs DO NOT PAY and also DO NOT participate in any PRIZE MONEY payouts)
#2 4 - HOST TENNIS FACILITIES for the league competitions, and 1 for our start up social and registration event.

Host Tennis Facility Requirements: Minimum of 6 courts from 1-4pm & golf course.
Team Requirements: 1 female, 5 males (must be current member of USPTA)
Registration: There are 2 ways to REGISTER
A) You can register as a CAPTAIN & CO-CAPTAIN who will pick remaining team members from a PRO LEAGUE DRAFT on Wed, Nov 3, 2010.
B) You can register as a PLAYER to be placed in a POOL of other players who will then be selected in the Wed, Nov 3, 2010 Tampa Bay USPTA Pro Doubles League DRAFT

PRIZE MONEY payouts are determined by total entry fees, site fees, USPTA Florida contribution & local sponsor fees. Anticipated payouts are: 1st Place TEAM $300 per player,2nd $200 pp 3rd $100 pp

Kick-off Social & Team Registration: Saturday, October 23, 2010 @ 2 PM . Come play & have some fun with all the competitors. Come play, beer & light snacks. This event will be formatted as a kick-off round robin with a changing partner format.

Deadline to register to be included in the draft is October 30, 2010. To register,
Captains and co-captains will do the actual draft on November 3, 2010.
You can register to be a CAPTAIN & CO-CAPTAIN (You pick your co captain).
You can also register as a PLAYER for the upcoming DRAFT
Once we have established 4 CAPTAIN'S with co captains, the teams will fill up with the DRAFT.

League begins: Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1pm and will run for 4 weeks, including Nov 13 & Nov 20, Dec 4 with Dec 11, 2010 as a RAIN date.

Format: There will be a total of 4 teams, 6 players per team, and each team will have both a Captain and a Co-captain. 1st three weeks are team challenge matches, week 4 is the finals, and will dictate final standings and prize money distribution.

Typical Daily Schedule: 1PM Pro League Doubles Matches
3PM Post match Beer & snacks
3:30PM Golf Outing (optional & special price)

Host Site Fees: There will be a $100 host site fee. Host sites must also provide beer, wine, soda & lite snacks ($150 value). This is a GREAT EVENT for your CLUB MEMBERS to come out, watch and see a HIGH LEVEL of TENNIS including their own CLUB PROFESSIONALS!

Player fee: $100/player

Anticipated payouts: 1st Place TEAM $300 per player,
2nd $200 pp
3rd $100 pp
